What we collect
- Your name, email address and mobile number when you register, and your postcode if you choose to give it.
- The cars you list, the bids you place, and the messages you exchange with other users on the site.
- A reference to the card and payout account you register with our payment provider. We never see or store card numbers.
Why
- To run auctions: to know who bid, who won, and who must pay whom.
- To put a buyer and a seller in touch after a sale — your mobile number is shown to the other party only once payment has cleared.
- To show how far a car is from you, if you gave a postcode.
- To keep a record of accepted bids and the terms in force at the time, in case of a dispute.
Who else sees it
- Our payment provider, for card holds, payments and payouts.
- Our email provider, for the emails the site sends you.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long
Account details for as long as you have an account. Records of sales and the bids that led to them are kept for six years after the sale, as required for accounting.
Your rights
You can see, correct or delete your details from your account page, or by contacting us. Deleting an account does not delete the record of completed sales.
